The Creative Club, operating in Krynica -Zdrój as the branch of the Society of Fine Arts, brings together artists, painters, sculptors, and local poets. The artists represent such fields of art as painting, sculpture, graphic arts and collage. Among the members are also poets. Their works are presented in the gallery “Under the Chestnut Tree”, established in 1998. The club organizes exhibitions, meetings with authors and open air meetings. The artists participate in competitive, thematic exhibitions held in various cities throughout the country. The topics are linked to the Beskid Sadecki landscape and it’s various aspects: nature, chapels, churches, old buildings. Poetry and music, inextricably linked to the visual arts, very often accompany the exhibitions.
Krynica Branch of the Society was founded in 1988. The club meetings are held at the Creative Culture Centre "Siedlisko", which also organizes occasional exhibitions and meetings for painters and sculptors.
The works of artists can be seen at the ‘Mieczyslaw’ fountain.
